I was kinda into the original, but Borderlands 2 simply blows it out of the water in almost every way, as any sequel should.
The writing is awesome and often very funny, the cel-shading looks even better and the overall presentation and style is just great and most importantly the gameplay is tons of fun. The story is pretty run-of-the-mill so far, but I really didn’t buy it for that and in the end it doesn’t really matter when you’re having so much fun with the characters and the world.
I’m playing as Zero by the way, because I’ve always been a sucker for sniping and stealth in general and being around 5 hours into the game I’m confident it was the right choice.
